Truly, bucket hats are back and this iconic 90’s accessory is a must-have and should be on your shopping list if you don’t already own one. Bucket hats have been making rounds in the fashion scene lately; from New York Fashion Week (NYFW) to runway shows and also on some of your favorite celebrities/influencers.
These lovely hats are perfect for weekend ensembles and can take your outfit from 50 to a 100% real quick! Accessories as you know, are fashion staples you should incorporate into your wardrobe. They range from jewelries, shoes, scarfs, caps, etc and bucket hats are no exemptions.
However, the way these items are styled could either make or mar your outfit so I advise you incorporate statement pieces/accessories when wearing a simple outfit and minimal pieces if your dress/outfit looks sophisticated.
I love the versatility of buckets hats, they come in different designs; plain, patterned, patchwork, floral or featuring a logo and can be worn with dresses, suits, skirts, etc.
Why You Need a Bucket Hat
- Bucket hats serve as shades from the sun
- Gives your outfit a retro/edgy look
- Bucket hats are versatile. That is, they can be worn with different outfits; dresses, suits, overall, etc.
I’m a sucker for vintage/retro looks which is why most of my outfits resonate with retro styles and I love the fact that these bucket hats adds that 90’s and edgy look. I styled mine with a purple camisole, white skirt and black mules.
